Our Mission

The Watershed is a collection of microchurches committed to providing small group gatherings where anyone is welcome to join us on our journey following Jesus. By focusing on developing small families of faith, we believe we can better encourage everyone in our circle to grow spiritually and discover his/her leadership potential. As group members mature in their walk with God, we want them to feel empowered to explore what it might look like to facilitate their own Watershed group one day.

We believe microchurches possess amazing imaginative potential. They can be started anywhere by anyone, and, when led well, encourage every person to discover his/her God-given role in expanding His Kingdom. We are convinced that discipleship, in the context of a family of faith, fueled by the transforming power of the Holy Spirit, is vital for all followers of Jesus to remain encouraged, equipped, and engaged in their involvement in God’ s mission. As a result, we believe microchurches can have a ripple effect that will create an earth-shaking movement, that what happened in the early church in Acts can happen now. We believe by the grace of God, the miracle of 2,000 Watersheds reaching 24,000 people can and will happen one day.
